2020: The Summer of ...
Indoors. Outdoors. Isolation. Connection. Anger. Hope. This unique moment in time has meant different things to people across the world. What has this summer meant for you?
All printmaking artists are welcome to submit work for the Bluegrass Printmakers' virtual gallery exhibit July 15 through August 31. Work will be posted on our website and social media. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite piece, with the top two vote-getters receiving Blick Art Supply gift cards ($35 and $15 respectively).
Eligibility: Open to all artists, work must incorporate a traditional printmaking method (i.e. block printing, intaligio, screen printing, collagraph, etc.).
Subject matter: Open-ended interpretation of the summer of 2020.
Entry fee: $10 for up to 3 images. Free for Bluegrass Printmakers members.
Deadline: July 8, jurors' notification will be sent to artists via email by July 12
Submit: Up to three images of prints by email to email@example.com. Images should be jpg or png (min. 150 dpi, 1 to 3 MB each). Include artist name, print title, size, medium/print method, price or "NFS", website and social media, and a short statement of how the piece fits into the theme of the exhibit.
Bluegrass Printmakers retains a 30% commission on pieces sold through the exhibit. Artist is responsible for shipping piece to purchaser. Please name image files with artist name and their corresponding piece title. (i.e. ArtistName_Title).
Accepted images will be used in the exhibit. By submitting you agree to let Bluegrass Printmakers use the image in the virtual exhibit and for promotion on social media and website.
